Ethiopian and Eritrean · Westerpark

Here you eat from one platter.

ንግስቲ ሳባ

We cook Ethiopian and Eritrean food on Eerste Nassaustraat, every evening. It comes out on one big injera in the middle of the table. You eat with your hands, and you share.

Open every evening, 17:00 to 23:00

First time

First time eating this?

Here is how it works. It is easier than it sounds.

  1. 01

    The injera is your plate

A big, soft, slightly sour bread made from teff. We spoon the dishes straight onto it, so your plate is also your first bite.

  2. 02

    You eat with your hands

Tear off a piece of injera and pick something up with it. Wash your hands before you start. That is about all there is to it.

  3. 03

    Everything in the middle

The platters are for two, and everyone eats from the same injera. You get to taste everything on the table, not only your own plate.

By reservation only

Coffee here takes an hour.

Green beans go into the pan, the whole place smells of it, and only then do we grind and brew. Tell us when you book and we will roast for your table.

Reserve with coffee

€ 17.50 for the table
